Terms and Conditions
An affordable and professional service addressing all your lock and security related issues across Cornwall
We think of ourselves as an old fashioned company where a handshake should be good enough to seal a contract between both parties. Unfortunately and a sign of the times is that terms and conditions protect both of us so a read of the following will help ensure a smooth transaction .
Firstly and most important , We Guarantee any work for a period of twelve months from the date of completion. Materials and equipment we fit are also guaranteed for twelve months and we will rectify any failure of equipment excluding normal wear and tear, miss-use, accident or on purpose damage within twelve months of us completing the first installation. We then guarantee any additional work carried out, or additional materials provided, but only until the date that is twelve months from the original installation.
We are happy to give an guide price over the telephone against your description for your consideration and to compare with similar estimates from others. We can not however give a firm price until we have attended the site, investigated the problem and made our own assessment. When we have done that we tell you what we propose to do and will give you a firm quotation in writing that will form the basis of our contract. At that point you are under no obligation to accept or engage us to do the work and there is no charge if you decide not to have the work done. .. If you accept our quotation then we will carry out the work as detailed and if we have not taken payment in advance we expect payment either by cash , credit or debit card immediately on completion. If we need to secure special order or bespoke items in order to do the job then we may ask for part payment to cover materials before we start work. It is reasonable that all goods and materials remain our property until paid for in full and we reserve the right to remove them if you are unable to make payment as promised.
We do not overbook appointments and will where possible give you a fixed time of us attending . We will keep you informed if there is any delay in us keeping to the allotted time, the very nature of the job sometimes causes unexpected delays, as does traffic, weather etc.. We shall not be liable for any loss as a consequence of us being late for an appointment but we will always endeavor to avoid that scenario in the first instance.
Occasionally there are circumstances or conditions that may prevent us or stop us from carrying out the work we have quoted, an example would be unsafe conditions such as gas leaks, dangerous electrics, unsafe structures, extensive rot or decay, finding asbestos or other hazardous materials in the building construction. Such conditions are rare but do happen and we reserve the right to refuse the work when it is sensible to do so. Should we need to carry out such action and abandon the work then we will charge you on the basis of our quoted price pro-rata against the work we have carried out before we needed to interrupt.
If you are unhappy with any aspect of our service or standard of work then please talk to us, We would prefer that you remember us for all the right reasons and we would be most disappointed if in any way we disappoint you.
